Barbara Cooney's famous tale Miss Rumphius is paired with her own favorite, Island Boy, in this recording. In Island Boy the full circle of life is told, young Mathais is born on an island off the coast of Maine, and lives a good long life of hard work and loving family, altho' it's not without tragedy.
