| Summary |
Academy Award winners William Hurt and Geena Davis star with Kathleen Turner in this touching story of a travel writer who hates to travel, a man who lives a well-ordered life in his well-ordered world until suddenly everything changes for THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST. When Macon Leary's (Hurt) wife, Sarah (Turner), leaves him, Macon withdraws even further into his protected world. But an event that Macon did not plan and cannot control occurs: He breaks his leg. Now into his well-ordered life enters plucky, outgoing dog trainer Muriel Pritchett (Davis), who determinedly opens Macon's closed life to endless new possibilities.
