Summary |
Few stories have been able to entertain as much as The Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum. Fourteen books written more than 100 years ago have thrilled generations. Most people are not aware that Baum himself produced several motion pictures himself, during the silent age. Here are five silent classics, filmed from 1910 to 1925, presenting a different view of OZ than many might be used to. The 1925 film features a young Oliver Hardy as the Tin Man. |
