| Summary |
A story about teenagers, their teachers, and other monsters. When the mother of teenager Wes Mendes gets kidnapped by specters, he is plunged into an underground city where the human and magic worlds collide. There, Wes teams up with a group of kids and their magical creatures and leads them on a quest to rescue his mom. Creature Academy honors, yet subverts the tropes we expect in coming-of-age fantasy and superhero stories.
