Summary |
Gitanjali (or Song Offerings ) is a collection of 103 English poems. The poet Tagore received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 primarily for this work. It is the best representative of his ideas and artistic style. Tagore offers respectfully song of life to the deities, expresses a largely metaphysical outlook, and talks about a union with the "supreme". With a light tone, he depicts the life and death, happiness and sorrows in reality, and expresses his solicitude for the future of his nation and its people. The innocent children by the sea, girls in the countryside, and workers at the ferry in his poems reveal the ordinary but great life of the Indians. «????»?103?????,"??????"???????????1913?????????,???????????????????????????????,??????????????????"????",????????????????????????????,???????????????????????????????,???????????????????????????????? |
